Before You Enquire
A quick summary of how things work:
- Deposits are required before any item is reserved or any commission begins
- Deposits are non-refundable
- Reservations are held for 7 days only
- Full payment is required before collection or delivery
- Collection is from the workshop by arrangement
- Personal delivery is available on selected pieces within a reasonable distance — I’d rather deliver something I’ve made myself than hand it to a courier. No charge for local delivery; anything further afield by arrangement
- Lighter flat pieces may be posted by arrangement — postage cost confirmed before commitment
- All pieces are one of a kind. Photographs represent the work accurately but cannot fully capture finish, texture or scale
Full Terms
1. About
These terms apply to all sales of artwork, signs and commissioned pieces by Leigh Kelsey, working under his own name. By purchasing or commissioning work you agree to these terms.
2. Pieces and Descriptions
All work is original and one of a kind. No two pieces are the same and none are made twice. Photographs are taken to represent each piece accurately, but colour, texture and scale may vary slightly from screen to screen. If you want to see a piece in person before committing, get in touch — viewings are welcome by arrangement.
3. Pricing
Prices are as listed. Leigh Kelsey reserves the right to correct errors. Listed prices do not include delivery or postage unless explicitly stated.
4. Reservations and Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve any piece or begin any commission. Reservations lapse after 7 days if a deposit has not been received. No commission work begins without a deposit.
5. Payment
Full payment is required before any piece is released, collected or delivered. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, PayPal or cash on collection. Ownership remains with Leigh Kelsey until payment is received in full.
6. Collection and Delivery
The default arrangement is collection from the workshop by prior arrangement. Personal delivery is available on selected pieces within a reasonable distance — I’d rather deliver something I’ve made myself than hand it to a courier. No charge for local delivery; anything further afield by arrangement. Lighter flat pieces may be sent by post or courier by arrangement — postage costs will be confirmed before any commitment is made. Risk passes to the buyer on collection or handover to a courier.
7. Returns
All pieces are sold as described. Because each piece is unique and made to a standard Leigh Kelsey is prepared to put his name to, returns are not accepted unless a piece arrives damaged or materially different from its description. In that event, contact workshop@leighkelsey.uk within 48 hours of receipt.
8. Commissions
Commissions are undertaken at Leigh Kelsey’s discretion. A deposit is required before work begins. The deposit covers design time and materials and is non-refundable if the commission is cancelled by the client after work has begun. Leigh Kelsey will work with you to get it right — but the final piece will reflect his judgement as well as your brief.
